Before modern day medicine, the medicine of plants was utilised and relied upon for healing of illness, disease and even physical bone breaks and mental health conditions. Today we have the benefits of both systems available for us to choose from or combine. Often using both traditional and modern systems can benefit in healing. Healing is very individual and what works for one person will be different for another. The benefit of using herbal medicine is that the approach is from the individual perspective. How each persons body functions, responds to and assimilates will determine the best types of herbs, nutrients, tissue salts, and the best method of delivery of the these substances to into the body.

What we eat also plays a role in good health. Making slow and positive changes to dietary intake, will assist in healing and improving health outcomes. Trying to make too many changes too quickly is a recipe for defeat. Steady progress is easier to maintain long term and far more enjoyable. It is important that we enjoy what we do. Motivation is the key to achieving your goals. Motivation is a driving force of its own and maintaining motivation by making choices you enjoy will help you on your health journey.

Herbal Medicine
Herbal Medicine uses the healing properties of plants to effect positive change in the body. Plants have been used for thousands of years to alleviate many symptoms, ranging from minor symptoms such as headache, fever, nervous tension, muscle aches and pains to more chronic symptoms. About 30% of pharmaceutical products contain active constituents from plants. Herbal medicine uses whole parts of the plant rather than only the active constituent. In doing so, many other ingredients are utilised which work in a synergistic way with the active constituents to allow for positive changes to occur.
